How it performs
Only you can reach your account on a trustworthy computer or the internet with two-factor authentication. You may also consider searching for an additional telephone number, such as your home mobile, or a number that a family member or close friend may call. If you can’t reach your primary number or your own computers temporarily, you can use this number.
Codes for Authentication
You will also be entitled to get a check code from the Settings of your trusted computer. The code is a temporary code sent to your trustworthy device or phone when you sign up for a new device or browser using your Apple ID.
A test code is distinct from the passcode of the device you enter to unlock your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Set up your Apple ID authentication with two-factor

(1) Go to Settings > [your name] > Password & Security.
(2) Tap Turn to Security Two-Factor.
(3) Carry on tap.
(4) Enter the telephone code you wish to collect when you file. By text message or by automatic call, you can opt to receive the codes.
(5) Next tap.
(6) Insert your phone number verification code and click on two-factor authentication.
